Tools I use to run my online business
Squarespace for simple websites
This has been my go-to web platform since 2012. It’s the easiest way to get a clean-looking website up without the hassle.
Loom and now Screen Studio for screen share videos
Loom is great for quick recording you need to send a client or customer. Screen studio is great for clean professional looking screenvideos. I particularly like the click zoom feature.
Convertkit (Kit) for email marketing
I’ve been using Convertkit since 2017. It’s not flashy like some other email service providers but if you’re into simple, minimally designed emails then Convertkit is great. The company is vested in the success of creatives online.
SendOwl for selling digital products
I’ve been using SendOwl to sell our plugins since 2018. It gives me more flexibility than Squarespace’s built-in digital product feature. More on it here.
Podia for online courses
Podia is another of those tools that I use partly because of how it’s grown.
Canva for quick and easy graphics
For quick and easy designs. Especially for social media. Stuff like youtube thumbnails. You can even do it all from their app.
Shopify for eCommerce
If you’re trying to scale your eCommerce biz, Shopify is the way to go. Curious about Shopify vs. Squarespace and which is right for your business? Read here.
Printful for dropshipped merch
I use Printful with the merch in the shop here. It syncs with Squarespace and has a steadily expanding product line. Good for one-offs until you start doing numbers or you’ve got some custom designs.
LiveChat for live chat
I don’t have any live chat on my sites at the moment but when I do, it’s this or Tawk (free).
SupportBee for Customer Support
I’ve played with a bunch of different customer support systems and settled with SupportBee for simplicity.
