January Monthly review 2025
This year I’ll be publishing monthly reports like the one you’re about to read.
These are for me first to track my growth and progress and serve as a kind of accountability.
While combing through the month I realized this process is key for maintaining a healthy self-image and self-perception.
If I don't remind myself of my own progress, I forget and feel like I’m not making any.
So here’s what happened last month...
Unlimited Coaching
First up, my coaching/mentorship program, The Digital Alchemy Lab is growing.
Jan brought in 3 new clients, bringing the total to 8
Generating $3,699 upfront revenues and ($1000/month x5)
8.75 hours spent coaching (which worked out to ~$422/hour) plus 3.5 hours on podcasts and intros
For a long time I felt like I could only sell to younger versions of myself, but unfortunately those versions can’t afford me now.
This month (February) my focus is helping my clients develop their content flywheels which is ultimately what Engineering Serendipity is all about.
Products and Content
I think I started the year strong. I’m anticipating some bulk orders in the new few weeks so I’ll be stocking up.
Books
26 books sold! (compared to 30 in January)
17 on Amazon ($67.19)
9 on thecorporatedropout.co ($122)
Templates
1 MySquareSpace Template Sold! ($199)
I brought myspace.omariharebin.com back to life last month and sold 2 templates since. This was just a vanity project, but its cool that it’s still paying dividends. I can’t wait for the 2 myspace sites to be done so I can showcase them.
Webinar Collab with Kit
This webinar was a great primer on building an email marketing engine. Get the replay here.
Podcast Appearances
I was busy on Threads getting my networking on and ended up on this podcast. I have a few more coming out this month.
Just Call Dad podcast with Sean Patrick
Somewhat Useful - From Corporate Dropout to Digital Alchemist
A mix of Squarespace, memoir, AI, and web talk with my friends Will Myers and Christy Price.
On the Blog
I did quite a bit of blogging this month and I enjoyed it.

Platform Growth
The YouTube channel is growing slowly but surely. I published 1 video Why every black man in Corporate America needs to read this and it got 1.3k views. I have a goal to get monetized this year, which means I need 4,000 watch hours.

Gained 26 new subscribers (100% increase)
